After 14 moves, now living in a rural valley in western Colorado near my 2 boys and 4 grandkids. Spend my days enjoying the mountain scenery, driving off-road trails, traveling around the good old USA and a little in Europe, renewing olde Pensacola friendships, playing bridge and living each new day as fully as I can. Junior year abroad in England. Graduate school (psychology) at San Francisco State. Sidney visits from New Orleans, proposes (Dec '63), and I leave after completing one semester. I returned to my parent's home on the water in Gulf Breeze FL. I loved it. Married Sidney Aug '64 (45 years this Aug), moved to New Orleans, lost all of our material possession to hurricane Katrina ('05), then moved to Portland OR in 2007, to be near family. Our 39-yr-old son, Charles, an acupuncturist and herbalist, lives here with his 7-yr-old son and lovely wife. Our 41-yr-old son, Louis (PhD psychology), his wife (PhD Sociology) and 6-yr-old son live in Providence RI. We visit often and love being grandparents. During a 17 year period, I worked as a Psychometrist for the Orleans Parish Schools and at the Jewish Family Service (assisting Jewish immigrants from the former Soviet Union), while obtaining a Masters Degree from Tulane. Upon returning to Portland, I obtained my license; and although I love my work, I don't intend to work unless the money disappears. It is Spring in Portland....indescribable beauty. Come in Spring or Summer, not Winter. We have met many wonderful people our age who came to Portland to be with their grandchildren - a ready-made peer group, all anxious to make friends - so that has been unbelievably easy and wonderful. I would have loved to be at the reunion. Thanks to all who did such a wonderful job. I have many fond memories of many of you. Stay healthy, happy, and wise. I retired from teaching in 2005, but I often sub--just can't get enough of it. Although we have remained in Pensacola (couldn't leave the beaches), our 3 children ventured away giving us opportunities for travel. Our 7 grandchildren, ranging from a four year old to freshmen in college, provide the reasons: t-ball, volleyball, basketball, tennis matches, and plays. We have not slowed down yet. Transferred to Florida State University graduating with a bachelor's degree in accounting and after a year of graduate work, a master's degree in accounting. Practiced as a CPA in Pensacola for almost thirty years and continue accounting, consulting, and tax work to this day. Married to my high school sweetheart--we have three great children, who have wonderful spouses, and seven wonderful grandchildren. Our two boys are CPAs and our daughter is a teacher.
