    Bob and I have lived in Opelika for 36 years and have loved it, as I did Pensacola.  We have three sons and 4 grandchildren.  Two of our sons live in Opelika and one in Atlanta. 
    We are both still very active and enjoy good health but are coping with the aches and pains of old age.  Bob still practices internal medicine and I run a struggling gift shop and do some other things also.
    Looking forward to seeing everyone, Pensacola produced some amazing people.

After graduation I lived and worked locally for another 5 1/2 years. In 1965 I met my future husband, Joel, a Naval Cadet in flight training. Joel and I married in Houston,TX  on March 19th of 1966.  During his Navy years we lived in northern California, Hawaii and Japan. Our first son was born while we were stationed at Ewa Beach, Hawaii. After returning to the states from Japan and being de-commissioned, Joel went to work for Delta Airlines and spent 31 years retiring as a 767 Captain in 2000. We lived in Mandeville, Louisiana, for 13 years and Marietta, Georgia for 18 years. Our second son was born while living in Louisiana, so we felt we had birthed one Kanaka and one Cajun! A year after retirement we  bought a home on Amelia Island on the east coast of Florida. We were packing to move when 9-11 occurred.

I have been blessed and fortunate to have been a stay at home mom.  During the early years of our marriage I worked part-time as a church secretary and again as a church financial secretary. My life has been so full of good times, good friends and great adventures- even going to college at age 49. We have two wonderful sons who each gave us a Tennessee belle for a daughter-in-law. We are "over the moon" in love with our two beautiful grandchildren, 7 year old Grace and 3 month old Nathan - one each for each son and his wife.  Our younger son has recently moved to Pensacola, and it is fun for me to return  and see the many changes that have occurred in the years since I left.

Joel and I have traveled quite a bit, as many of my classmates have. Being able to fly stand-by throughout the years has been a big factor in this.  Although we have seen many countries and cultures, our hearts belong to Ireland. We have traveled there, almost yearly for the last 25 years and have made lots of Irish friends. All my years have been filled with family, church and volunteer activities. I am a member of the PEO Sisterhood, and Joel and I are members of First Presbyterian Church in Fernandina Beach, FL where I've served as an elder and moderator for the women's group.  As the saying goes, "God is good all the time and all the time, God is good." I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and having a good time at the reunion.

Retired from NASA Houston and Huntsville in '99 and back at work as a contractor for the US Army integrating helicopter avionics in Huntsville Alabama.  Nita (Wilhite) and I have 2 children, 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.  Looking forward to seeing everyone again.
