Although I am now retired, my wife Carolyn and I continue to reside in Charlottesville near the University. We have two wonderful children and three fantastic grandchildren. I still have extended family in Pensacola, so I visit from time to time. I recall my days growing up there often and fondly. I am especially enjoying the photos on the website of all those old fifties landmarks. Many thanks to those providing them. Hope there are more to come. I went back and got my MS degree in Journalism and Telecommunications but didn't get to use it much once we went back to the East coast from our 1st tour in San Diego. There I got into computers and went back again to Univ. of Md. for a Computer & Info Science degree in 1995 and work as a Sr. Software Analyst/Engineer now. I retired from the Govt. and work part-time as a Contractor now. My husband is a retired Navy Captain and owns a Contracting business that deals with the base, Patuxent River NAS/NAWCAD, nearby in Lexington Park, Maryland. My husband went through Test Pilot School (TPS) here and then came back as the Commanding Officer of TPS after being XO/CO of a squadron in San Diego. We were also stationed in England on Exchange duty for several years which was fun. We have two boys and now four young grandchildren (a boy and a girl for each son). I am looking forward to seeing all of my old classmates. I never got back for a Reunion before because my parents always had the Family Reuinon on July 4th. If we came we had to come then to help with that and see all of the family, and we we usually too far away to come twice in one summer. I sure miss Jonetta Lewis. She died about 14 years ago of throat cancer but I saw her in 1982 when we moved from San Diego to here in Maryland. We stayed the night with her and her three kids. I wrote to her and talked to her after that but never saw her again. She was divorced at the time but she and her children were doing okay. I still miss her as I'm sure others do.
