From Robert:

After graduation, attended Pensacola Jr. Col. for a year, then moved to Eau Gallie.  Graduated from Brevard Jr. Col., later from the University of Florida, in 1964.  Took the journey north, where I settled in the Washington, DC area.  During my life in DC, Virginia and, now, Maryland, I worked as a mathemetician for Army Map Service for three years, then spent 27 years with CSC working as a computer programmer, programmer analyst and analyst in the aerospace field as a contractor to NASA, mostly doing work for many scientific satellites and the Apollo, Tracking Data Relay Satellite and Space Shuttle missions.  Early on, I found time to marry and become single again.  Finally, spent 10 years working for two smaller government contractors, almost all of the work in the immigrant visa field with the Dept. of State.

From Martha Jane:
After high school graduation, I married and went to work at Southern Bell Telephone Company as a long distance operator. I had 3 sons, John, Greg & Joseph Johnson in four years.    My oldest son John and his wife Lori have been married twenty five years last August 20, 2008.  He and his wife had three of my grand kids, Christine Johnson Kaplanis,  born in Cheyenne, WY., Matt and Brandon Johnson were born in Anchorage, Alaska.  John is retired from Air Force after 23 1/2 years and now works and live  in Daphne, Al.  He was stationed in Biloxi, MS, Cheyenne, WY, Anchorage, AK for 8 years, Colorado Springs, CO and finally close to home, Montgomery, AL.  We traveled a lot to see them where ever they were stationed.   Our favorite place was Anchorage, Alaska.  We went every year, sometimes I would go two times a year, missed my grandkids.  My middle son Greg didn't marry, didn't want anyone to tell him what to do, has two bull dogs for sons. My Youngest son Joseph  and his exwife had Amber Johnson White, whom I raised from age 8.  She is now in Air Force, going to Mildenhall England for 3 years with her new husband Vincent White in June, 2009.

I found out that girls are harder to raise and more expensive to dress than boys.  I always wanted a little girl to dress up, disappointed that God gave me boys.  God knew what He was doing.  He knew I couldn't handle the drama of three girls.  I love my sons, ages 47, 46, & 44.

I married James T.  "Jimmy"  Johnson on Aug. 28th, 1959 the same week I started to work for the telephone company, as a long distance operator on August 24, 1959.   That was one  rough week.  I worked 8AM - 5PM on my wedding day.  Our wedding was at 7PM at Whitfield Memorial Baptist Church on W. Jackson St.  Back then, we had rented an apartment on corner of Baylen St and W. Jackson St., just two blocks from where I went to work as an Long Distant Operator.   Our Land Lady, made sure we got married, she went to our wedding herself.  She would make sure we left the door open from the hallway, often checked to make sure we were not doing anything we were not suppose to.  We were moving our clothes and wedding gifts in our new apartment before we got married.

I had several jobs within Southern Bell and Bellsouth, Customer Service Representative, Repair Clerk, where you were cursed at when you received a call from someone whose telephone was out of order, Desk Clerk in Maintenance Dept, than I retired with BellSouth Telephone Co. as an 2nd Level Adm. Reports Clerk in Central Office Engineering Dept. Aug. 9. 1996.  I quit for 6 years after my last son Joseph was born, even worked part time when my kids were little, but managed to get my 30 years for retirement.

Jimmy worked for civil service at NADEP as an Air Craft Painter.   He painted Blue Angel planes, President's helicopter among all the other planes.  He retired after they closed NADEP in 1993.

We  are members of  Brownsville Southern Baptist Church on "T" and Strong Street, since 1961.  My husband Jimmy is a Deacon there.  Even though we live out off Pine Forest Road, in Lake Francis Subdivision, we still attend  our old neighborhood church where you will meet the most loving, caring church family.  We have a good pastor, Dr. John Pavlus and Lon Roberts, who was 2 years behind me in PHS, is our Senior Pastor.   He and his wife have been members  a very long time.

We will be married fifty years on August 28, 2009.

From Robert:
After graduation, I joined the Army and spent 31 months in Germany.  While there I took the opportunity to visit as many countries as possible.  Upon returning to the states, I was employed by Monsanto Company for 28 years.  During that time I earned my BS and MBA degrees from University of West Florida. Monsanto then promoted me and relocated me to South Carolina and then Missouri . When I was promoted to the position of Export Customer Service Manager, Monsanto offered me the opportunities to travel to Latin America, Far East, Australia, Central America, Canada, Mexico and Europe.  After retirement from Monsanto, I was employed by an international freight forwarding company for 10 years.  I am a licensed U.S. Customs Broker and taught International Business in the MBA program at Fontbonne  University in St. Louis, Missouri for 10 years.

Since retiring (again) to L.A. (Lower Alabama) I have passed the Florida State Roofing Exam and I am in the process of obtaining my State of Florida Roofing License. I am also an instructor for Faulkner State Community College in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

In my spare time, I enjoy golfing, fishing, playing with my 6 (soon to be 7) grandchildren and working around our mini-farm.
