After graduation I went to Florida State for one year before getting married. We moved to Newport News,Virginia where he was stationed at the Newport News Ship Building and Dry Dock Company working on the USS Enterprise the first nuclear aircraft carrier. Our son was born the next year and three months later he finished his tour and we moved back to Pensacola where we spent the next few years. When our daughter was three we moved to his home state of Michigan where he began a thirty year career with General Motors. I was a stay at home Mom until I began a thirty two year career with the food service department of our local school district. With both of us retired, we keep busy with our senior group. He's the Golden Age Clubs chairman of the board and is on the Parks 'N Recreation Board for our township. In addition to our playing shuffleboard , he enjoys card playing twice a week. We have a sixteen year old granddaughter who's the love of our life. She plays volleyball on a traveling team and softball for her high school. Right now though she's awaiting surgery for a torn ACL. That's an abbreviated version of life after PHS. We haven't traveled to the Florida area in over forty years so I'm sure we won't be able to find our way around the city or recognize any favorite places. The reunion web site is "the best". After high school I attended PJC for one year and LSU for one year and changed my major every semester. Finally decided to pursue teaching school, came home one summer and secured a job at NAS making more than I would have with a teaching certificate so I left the academic world. I married a Navy pilot and moved to Norfolk and then to Long Island when he started flying with TWA. We moved to Gulf Breeze shortly after the birth of our first son and added another son three years later. Then, I found tennis and fell in love with the game and became a real tennis bum, playing in local tournaments and ladies' leagues in between shuffling the boys to baseball fields, church and school. Then the big "D" and I had to get a "real" job. I retired in Nov 2008 after 18 yrs with the Escambia School District transcribing reports for the Psychological Services Dept. I have been fortunate to travel a lot and enjoy crafting, gardening, reading and spending time with my three grandsons. Send This Person a Message

Married to James who still teaches at PHS. He says he has to continue working to support my habits...that would be traveling, painting, gardening, fishing, and luncheons with my fellow Red Hats! How did I ever have time to work! We have a blended family of six grown children and ten grandchildren,which is a big plus! I am so excited about the reunion and getting to see some dear old friends.
