Military Service: Four years active duty, U. S. Air Force, NATO Forces, Europe.

Employment/Residence: Thirty years as a computer technocrat with the U. S. Departments of Transportation and Justice, and the Government Printing Office, Washington, DC. During this time I resided in Maryland, mostly the Annapolis area.

Claim to Fame: I survived the Saturday Night Massacre*. (But, then, so did about 50,000 other Justice employees!)

Hobbies/Interests: Crossword and sudoku puzzles, hunting, fishing, hiking and duplicate bridge (Bronze Life Master).

* For those who don't remember the Saturday Night Massacre, that was the night in October '73 when President Nixon axed Attorney General Elliot Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William Ruckelshaus because they refused to carry out his demand to axe Watergate Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox. Solicitor General Robert Bork ended up doing Nixon's dirty work.

       After graduating from PHS, I attended college for four years and received both a degree and a commission through ROTC as a lieutenant in the U.S. Army.  After two years of service, with my primary duty station in Germany, I attended law school for three years.

 

      While in law school I clerked for a firm in Atlanta.  I went to visit my cousin, Lucy Hart, who was working in Atlanta and living with three other women – one of whom was Anne Douglas of Greenville, S.C., who became my wife in March of 1969.  We have been married for 40 years, and have three children – Daniel, age 37 with Dell Computer in Nashville, Tennessee, married to Sarah with a three-year-old daughter and 10-month-old son; Doug, 34, single and working with his uncle in the apartment construction business in South Carolina; and Anne Fair, 30, married to Jim Woodward, an attorney in Atlanta, with an 8-month-old son.

 

      After completing law school in 1968, I returned to Pensacola to practice law.  In 1976, my brother, Chris, and I and two other attorneys started the firm  in which we now practice, which now has 35 lawyers and offices in Pensacola and Destin.  I continue to enjoy my work and am still at it.  I have enjoyed being involved in the Pensacola community and believe the future is bright for Pensacola.

     

      Anne and I enjoy travel and visiting grandchildren.  We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.

I returned "home" after living in S.C., Ga. , N.C., and TX. We were a military family and then went with the airlines. We traveled quite extensively so I am content to stay put. My family is all still here so it's great to be back. My children are scattered from Milton, Atlanta and San Diego. I have one grandson who is 3 and am especting another in Sept. I retired in '03 after 18 years as a data specialist and am loving retirement, but stay quite busy with hobbies and Church activities.I have a precious black/tan dashund named Milo. Looking forward to seeing everyone!!! (sorry no photos yet)

After graduating PHS, received BA degree in Theology from Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, MN (1962).  Married Sibil Padue, who was reared in Indonesia, (1962). Ordained into the ministry with United Pentecostal Church (1963).  Have 3 children and 6 grandchildren (including one adopted from China).

Involved in ministry, missions, children's ministry, youth ministry,  writing, publishing,  land surveying, mapping. Presently pastor a church in Sarasota.
