As I read the many bios, I became aware and assured classmates of PHS '59 have demonstrated this resolve by the richness of their family ties and many career achievements. I have been so fortunate to have my high school sweetheart, Ken, share with me these past 50 years. After marriage, we began our lives and careers in Keflavik, Iceland - his in the Air Force, mine within the Federal Gov't AF Civilian Personnel Office (HRO). While there, we had many wonderful experiences learning the culture, enjoying the land of the midnight sun, glaciers, the Artic Circle, as well as, vacationing in Germany and Austria. I remained within the Personnel Office with each of Ken's transfers, and again after his retirement back in Pensacola. In time, my role as Education & Training Superintendent gave me opportunities to develop and implement a variety of programs to meet mission requirements for the various commands within the NAS Complex. During my last 3 yrs, I was appointed BRAC Program Manager. Through the HRO Team efforts, policies and implementation procedures were developed to carry out Congressional actions toward Base Realignment and/or Closure initiatives for the Dept of Navy comnmands. These policies were later adopted for application DoD-wide. After 25 yrs of service, I retired in Nov 95. My life has been greatly rewarded most of all with my marriage of 50 years (Jun 6th), two wonderful daughters and three exceptional grandchildren (sounds like a Nana). Let's please keep in touch!
